Barcelona and Las Palmas on Sunday at Camp Nou, in the seventh round of the Spanish league, are threatened with a delay, news reports said on Thursday. 

The match coincides with the separatist referendum called for by the Catalan autonomous government on October 1. 

The newspaper " El Mundo Deportivo" that the game could be delayed in light of the possibility of the absence of adequate security forces to ensure the security meeting , which will be held on the same day of the referendum.

"The Catalonia Security Council, a body composed of local security forces, the Civil Guard and the National Police, will convene this afternoon to decide on the fate of the game, which is expected to be attended by 70,000 spectators at Camp Nou." 

Barcelona are seeking to win their seventh win at Allega to maintain the lead, and the difference of seven points separating them from Real Madrid, while his administration supports the holding of the referendum.
